When I was going through Google’s aggregation on 2012 resolutions, I was kinda thinking what could be mine this year. Checking into a gym? Learning Guitar, honestly? Not to appear on stages anymore, not to commit with any of the rubbish debates, poetry sort of things which I recently pushed into. I am gonna let all these go and sticking with what I know better. That’s reading! So I named it, year 2013, “Read more, Write less” and most importantly cut the crap.
Part of this “read more” resolution has its offspring resolutions. I will and always build my home library bigger and bigger while keeping the “read books” percentage more than 60% (which is now hanging around that mark anyway). I got about 100 books in my shelf, and it keeps growing every month.
Putting down the resolutions here in public, only to come back next year and see whether I really stood honest to it.
- Read two books a month (English and Tamil each)
- Read at least couple of old English classics (pride and prejudice).
- Buy two books a month (January I already bought “Still counting deaths” and iSteve)
- Write a book review every month (That will be in my Tamil language website www.padalay.com).
Lets see how it goes! Wish me all the best friends!!
